Kerrville PD saw a white Honda sedan when they were looking for a stolen vehicle fitting that description. Police escalated a high-speed chase which ended when the vehicle being chased crashed into a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was critically injured and airlifted to a hospital and a second hospital in unknown condition. The driver of the white Honda that had been chased died. The person was only identified as male without disclosure of his identity. Police initially stated they chased the vehicle because it “fit a description” of a stolen vehicle and police also initially also claimed the vehicle was stolen during an “armed carjacking” but have not followed up and given any details under which circumstances or alleged weapons threat the vehicle had been stolen and if this was indeed the same vehicle police hunted into this wreck.

Vallejo PD chased a car they believed was stolen at 60 mph in a quiet neighborhood. The vehicle crashed during the chase, pinning a 76-year-old local neighbor between 2 cars in his yard. The man had severe leg injuries and died.

San Antonio PD traffic-stopped a vehicle and police allege that a man ran away from the traffic stop and a foot chase ensued. Police claim the man pulled a gun when police chased him and they shot and killed him. Police state they had not reviewed BWC videos yet before making these preliminary statements.

A man locked himself into a gas station and police started a standoff at North Mesa Street and Doniphan Drive in El Paso on the morning of 10/16/2023. El Paso PD and SWAT attended the event. Police used CS gas which forced the man to run from the gas station. He tried to run away with a gun in hand and was shot and killed. Police say they have not identified him and that the event took place near a border crossing migrant-smuggling point.

Leonard Cure was traffic-stopped on the I-95 in Camden County, Georgia on 10/16/2023 and reportedly cooperated with the deputy until he was told he was under arrest. It is unknown how the deputy approached him or why he was suddenly attacked by taser at a traffic stop but he allegedly fought the deputy because he did not want to go back to jail under any circumstances. He was shot and killed.

Leonard Cure had spent 16 years in a Florida prison and was exonerated when his innocence was proven in 2020. His reaction to being told that he was under arrest for an unknown traffic infraction was to try to escape. He was murdered in the process. Police have no comment so far, have not made claims thus far that he had been armed and have not commented why they killed him. Leonard Cure died at a traffic stop in Georgia at the hands of a deputy on 10/16/2023.

*** 10/20/2023 UPDATE: It was discovered that deputy Buck Aldridge who killed Leonard Cure has a profound history of excessive force and on-duty and off-duty misconduct that caused him to be fired from his previous employer, the Kingsland PD. He was hired as deputy by Camden County in 2017 and is a sergeant.

North Carolina Highway Patrol state that on 10/16/2023, Trooper Jeffrey Dunlap encountered a motorist who fired a shot at him, hitting the trooper in his ballistic vest. The trooper shot and killed Wesley Taylor. This story was presented by police alone and no eyewitnesses or video can be found for comparison narrative.

Chaves County deputies were chasing a vehicle at high speed until it collided with a semi-truck and the driver died. Police did not disclose why they undertook this dangerous hunt.

Brady Hanna was driving on Route 41 when hit and killed by a police chase crash caused by a lengthy police pursuit of a stolen Ford F-150. Brady Hanna was a firefighter at the Nettie Fire Department. The police chase continued after his death when the man being hunted stole a police cruiser and desperately tried to escape in it, was chased into Craigsville where he stopped and surrendered to police.

West Virginia troopers were seeking Anthony Meyers for failure to register after release from jail but they also felt he may be linked to some burglaries which remain unproven as he died before an investigation could be launched. Police found him in a location near Union, WV and shot and killed him. The circumstances are not well known. Should more information become available, it will be posted in this space.

Shots were fired and brought police to the 200 block of N. 29th Street in New Castle. Police focused on Donald Guffey Jr. for reasons they did not disclose. He retreated and locked himself into his home. New Castle PD brought SWAT and “de-escalated” the situation. When Guffey approached the window from inside of his home and police saw him, they allege he had a weapon and they shot and killed him through the window of his home. Police never explained what the charges or evidence against him were and why he was deliberately killed by firing squad inside of his home.

Wallingford PD were sent to a home where Donald Passmore, 62, was suicidal and needed help. When police entered, he seemed agitated, was lying in bed and argued with police. Police fired 10 shots and killed him in his bed. Police allege that he had a .22 nearby but he was not seen holding or reaching for a gun, only gesticulating angrily with his hands while lying in bed when shot and killed. On October 16, 2023, Cullman County deputies hunted a vehicle into Jefferson County for undisclosed reasons. Police allege that there was a shootout between them and the fleeing vehicle. Police kept up the chase until the vehicle crashed in the Kimberly/Morris area. Police state that a “suspect” is dead without explaining what this person described with this criminalizing word is allegedly guilty of, also only vaguely admitting his death without clarifying whether they shot or hunted them to death or if this was a suicide under police duress.

Chicago PD stopped a 30-year-old man in his vehicle for a code violation. It is unknown what transpired but the man got out of his car and fled away from police on foot. The trooper claims to have lost sight of him. He was found dead on the tracks from unknown cause shortly thereafter. A Tehama deputy arrived at an accident and said he was shot by the driver with a rifle when he arrived. He radio’d for help and Red Bluff PD, Corning PD and Calfire all arrived. The driver with the rifle fled in the police car and was chased into the back of a semi truck, crashed and was arrested.

Edgefield County deputies made a traffic stop. The driver exited the vehicle while the passenger jumped in the driver’s seat and drove away. Police escalated a chase, apparently with a shootout, and the chase went through Highway 23 to Woodyard Road and onto SC-19. Police fired at Robertson. A passenger ran away under fire from police and Robertson ran into nearby woods on the I-20. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, North Augusta Public Safety and South Carolina Highway patrol organized a manhunt with multiple dogs and aircraft. A shot rang out. Robertson had committed suicide under the extreme police duress.

Sikeston DPS were called to an AA meeting where a man had a gun. When police arrived, they claimed he refused to drop the weapon and they shot and killed him. No video has been released and it is unknown whether the man was given adequate time to drop any weapon.

Geoffry Frank Walker had 2 warrants for a previous family violence episode. Bartow County deputies located him and began an aggressive manhunt for the stated reason of these family fights, attacking him with a PIT maneuver and forcing him to crash his vehicle. Walker reportedly “hopped” out of his vehicle and fled according to local media with police unleashing and siccing a K9 after him. Walker allegedly fired a shot at the police K9 and injured him. The police dog was taken to the hospital and survived. Police chased Walker behind a hotel compound and shot and killed him. Police also seemingly mocked him when they described him as “hopping” away from the vehicle but this description suggests that he may have been injured by the aggressive PIT and dog attack. Police did not state how the police dog was injured, whether by bullet by police or by Walker fighting back.

Fond du Lac PD and Fond du lLc deputies both showed up at a domestic disturbance where someone reportedly had a weapon or access to a weapon. Police arrived and saw a man in a vehicle and according to police, “gunfire was exchanged” without explanation how things had escalated from police arrival to a shootout. The man was killed by a deputy of the fond du lac Sheriff’s Office. Officers all wore bodycam. Should video be released, it will be posted in this space.

Ms. Cast was arrested by Madison County Sheriff's deputies in Normangee, Texas for public intoxication. While being transported, she managed to move her handcuffs from behind her back to the front, unfasten her seatbelt, and lower the window of the patrol vehicle. Subsequently, she fell from the moving vehicle on FM 1452 near FM 39 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Georgia State Police said they “saw a Golf Infinity SUV speeding without a driver’s license,” also allegedly running a red light. It is unclear how police knew the driver was unlicensed unless they had been targeting and following him and this detail needs clarification from police. The vehicle slowed down, dropped off a passenger and kept driving. Georgia State troopers hunted the vehicle at high speed until it crashed into a Honda Civic at high speed, instantly killing a woman who had been driving down through Memorial Drive and Hairston Road when hit by the massive police chase crash. She has not been publicly identified yet.

Arriving at a mental health welfare check call, Kaukauna police found a deceased woman with substantial traumatic injuries and her husband exhibiting erratic behavior. Police stunned him with a taser an unknown number of times and he was taken to the hospital where he died. His wife Jessica Syoc was killed in the incident but is not listed in this database as her murder happened prior to arrival and without involvement of police.

Pendleton PD officers were involved in a high-speed police chase shortly after noon on 10/15/2023 that ended in a massive crash that killed both the driver and passenger of the vehicle. Police have not said why they undertook this fatal chase.

Christopher Newport University’s police chief was the driver involved in a fatal pedestrian crash in James City County on Friday evening, a university spokesperson confirmed. The police chief, Daniel F. “Wojo” Woloszynowski, was driving west of Route 60, east of Route 199, at about 7:45 p.m. when he struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, Shaine Dee'Lee'oan Henderson, 48, of Williamsburg, was seriously injured and later died at the hospital.

Woodstock PD tried to pull over Emmanuel Millard for undisclosed reasons. He did not stop and police escalated an aggressive chase, culminating in a PIT maneuver attacking Millard’s vehicle. Predictably, the vehicle crashed. Police stated that while they were arresting Millard, one of the officers shot and killed him. Police did not state why. Police also did not state whether he had been armed or why police felt he had been a threat to them. Bodycam video exists but has not been released. Millard died in the hospital several days after being shot by police.

Troy PD were called because Woody Smith was seen entering a home where he was considered a trespasser. Police arrived and saw him crawling out of a window. Police fired their taser at him an unknown number of times. Smith showed signs of medical distress when he was placed prone on the ground and handcuffed. An officer administered Narcan on an assumption that this may be a drug overdose. There is no report of medical personnel having been available. Smith worsened and died from unknown causes after the taser and Narcan by police.

Dallas PD saw a vehicle they felt may be stolen and escalated a chase. The vehicle did not stop and police claim that when it did stop, they tried to ram a patrol vehicle. The vehicle being chased at high speed crashed into an allegedly uninvolved city marshal's vehicle who per police narrative was coincidentally there and the crash also hit another third party driver in the 10900 block of Elam. The driver of the vehicle that had been chased was ejected in the crash and died. Neither the city marshal nor the other driver were injured.
