Enrique Martinez Ponce was shot and killed in the 200 block of Moonstone Drive Tuesday at around 11:07 p.m. after attacking his wife. The wife stated that he had arrived at her home with a knife and machete, threatened to kill her and placed the knife against her throat. She ran away toward a house across the street and Martinez followed her in his truck and pinned her against the front door with it. Residents opened the door and she escaped through the house while Martinez entered the house with a knife to search for her. When deputies arrived, he drove very fast toward them. They shot and killed him. No officers were charged.
