Cobb County deputies initially responded to a home off Drennon Avenue in Austell. A 911 caller said an armed man and woman were his home trying to take his daughter. The 911 caller gave police a description of the SUV. Police found the SUV and tried to pull it over, but the driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase into Douglas County where officers did a PIT maneuver and disabled the vehicle. The driver allegedly refused to show his hands and police shot and killed him. They also injured his female passenger. Police did not reply whether the man had been armed.

Camacho had an outstanding parole violation warrant and when they notified him, he sped off from the scene. Later, Camacho was spotted by a different officer parking his vehicle and getting out on foot. Then he reportedly walked into a wooded area.Police said the officers discovered Camacho at the bottom of a steep embankment that led to a creek bed. His cause of death is not known at this time.
