Frederick County deputies arrived to arrest a man for outstanding warrants. He opened the door, saw police and closed the door again. Police brought SWAT and escalated a standoff during which time the man died from suicide under police. Police operated drones and found him dead. Police state that they do not identify people who die from suicide and confirmed only that he was a black man. His identity was not released by police.

On October 23, 2024, at approximately midnight, 21-year-old Lucas Menz fled from Missouri State Highway Patrol officers during an attempted traffic stop on southbound Interstate 55, just north of South Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis County. Traveling at a high rate of speed, Menz lost control of his Lexus ES, veered off the left side of the road, and overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Menz was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Elroy Clarke was engaged in a dispute with a man who had been staying at his home for three months. There have been problems and he wanted the man to leave. An altercation took place and Charlotte County deputies arrived. Elroy Clarke had allegedly had an FTA warrant for a trespassing charge and police arrived at a fight he had with an unwanted person at his home to wanting to arrest him for failure to appear in court for the trespassing charge. Police attacked him with several rounds of taser, pepper spray, baton and physical assault by three deputies. Police finally shot and killed the unarmed man in his driveway. Bodycam linked below. Clarke was a sovereign citizen which is an ideology that does not recognize authority of the state. Police commonly target sovereign citizens.

Police state that the officer had lights and sirens activated and Vela should have seen him. On October 23, 2024, 42-year-old Abram Perez of Rockford, Illinois, was fatally shot by police following a hostage situation near Rich Road and Nelson Road in DeKalb Township, Illinois. The incident began when officers pursued a vehicle believed to be involved in a Rockford shooting the previous night. Stop sticks were used. Perez, armed with a handgun, had taken a person hostage inside the vehicle. After hours of negotiation, the hostage was released unharmed. Upon arrival, officers encountered Sullivan, who then fled the scene in a vehicle. The Sardis officer escalated the pursuit, which led through multiple roadways before ending at Sullivan’s residence on Lawson Gap Road. Sullivan exited the vehicle, and an altercation occurred. Police allege that shots were exchanged, but no specifics have been released regarding weapons or body-worn camera footage. Sullivan was shot and killed by an officer whose name is being withheld. The Etowah County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation.

On October 22, 2024, just before 5:00 p.m., Lawrenceville Police Department investigators located Terrell Laron Hoggro, 59, at the Quality Inn on Northeast Expressway in Chamblee, Georgia. Hoggro was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses related to recent armed robberies in Lawrenceville. As officers conducted surveillance and coordinated resources for his arrest, Hoggro exited a motel room. Officers immediately attempted to arrest him. Hoggro drew a handgun from his waistband and raised it toward the officers. Lawrenceville Police Department officers fired at Hoggro, striking him. On October 20, 2024, Phoenix police officers responded to a trespassing call at a Dollar Tree store located near 37th and Glendale Avenues in Phoenix. The store had reported that 31-year-old Essex Jackson was allegedly refusing to leave and had retreated into a storeroom. When officers arrived, they found Jackson on top of a freezer and attempted to engage him. A struggle ensued when the officers tried to arrest him, and Jackson seized one of their tasers during the altercation. In response, at least one officer discharged their weapon, fatally shooting Jackson. The officers involved were treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the struggle.

Investigation: The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident, and it is currently under review by the department's internal affairs division.

In the case of Taylor Cotton, who was shot and killed by police, the incident occurred at the 1200 block of Rosedale Drive in Dayton, Ohio, on a Saturday morning. As of now, the Montgomery County Coroner, Dr. Kent Harshbarger, confirmed the identity of Taylor Cotton. An autopsy report has not been released, but authorities have stated Cotton was pronounced dead at Miami Valley Hospital following the shooting on October 19, 2024. On 10/19/2024, Lawrenceburg Police Department officers responded to a report of an armed domestic violence incident at the Hollywood Casino. Officers arrived on the fourth floor of the building and located Milo Lamar Kirsh in the hallway.

Lincoln City police were sent to a motel six in Lincoln city where a man and a woman were arguing. In the process of investigating this, police discovered that the man was wanted on felony warrants, and there was an allegedly stolen vehicle in the parking lot associated with a couple. State that he was noncompliant and “reached for his waistband” and they shot and killed him.

Aurora police responded to a domestic violence call regarding a teenager who had severely beaten his mother. Roommates attempted to intervene, but Guillen allegedly threatened them with a gun. Upon arrival, police shot and killed him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The family had been immigrants from Venezuela.

Pemberton Township police officers responded to reports of smoke coming from a house on Woodland Avenue around 3:30 PM. Upon arrival, they learned that Marvin Taylor, 57, was in the backyard armed with a firearm. Officer Kyle McQueen engaged in a shootout with Taylor. McQueen shot and killed Taylor during the exchange. Taylor was treated at the scene and flown to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A firearm was located near Taylor's body. The incident is under investigation by the New Jersey Attorney General's office.
