On May 22, 2025, around 7:55 p.m., Houston police used aerial surveillance to follow a stolen Dodge Charger from the 11200 block of South Gessner Road to West Bellfort Avenue. The vehicle struck a U-turning vehicle in the 7500 block of West Bellfort, ejecting the bystander driver, a man in his 40s, who died at the hospital. The fleeing vehicle then crashed into a light pole, causing a fire. While firefighters attempted to pull him from the vehicle, the man fatally shot himself. Sandoval’s family described him as a devoted husband and father.

On May 22, 2025, Alabama State Bureau of Investigation agents responded to an armed robbery where a person had been shot. The individual believed to be responsible, 19-year-old Raymond Junior Tellis, was located in a vehicle and stopped by an SBI agent near the 2200 block of Upper Wetumpka Road. During the traffic stop, Tellis allegedly pulled out a firearm as the agent attempted to arrest him. The officer opened fire, killing Tellis. Several passengers fled; Ibrahim remained behind the wheel and exited the vehicle. Sgt. Jesse Ronk confronted Ibrahim and, within 17 seconds of perceiving Ibrahim pointing a gun with a tactical flashlight at him, fired four times, striking Ibrahim.Deputies found two loaded handguns—one stolen—inside the SUV. Ibrahim was transported to the hospital and later died.

On May 21, 2025, around noon, Coon Rapids police responded to a domestic incident at a residence on the 300 block of 111th Avenue NW. A woman reported that a man, identified as 65-year-old Robert Edward Davis, had cut her with a knife. Upon arrival of police, the woman and another man exited the home, with the woman sustaining a hand injury. Officers used less-lethal measures, including 40mm launchers and a Taser, but Davis moved toward Officer Timothy Morin, who then fired his handgun, striking Davis. Davis was transported to Mercy Hospital, where he later died. The incident is under investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The family of Davis explained that he had a large brain tumor and had suffered a mental health crisis.

Plano police responded around 9:15 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a woman had been shot at a residence on Ridgewood Circle. Officers arrived and encountered Juan Jose Rivera-Robles, 37, who opened fire on them. Police opened fire and killed him. A woman with gunshot wounds was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Las Vegas police found a deceased person in a large container behind a business on the 100 block of North 3rd Street after reports of a foul odor on 05/21/2025. The investigation led to 63-year-old Joseph Del Rivo. Later that day, Utah Highway Patrol escalated a high-speed chase of Del Rivo on Interstate 70, reaching speeds of 140 mph. After spike strips were deployed, he attempted to evade a second set, lost control, and was ejected during a rollover crash. He died at the scene. The deceased person found in the container was identified as Matthew Kelemen, 56, a freelance reporter who wrote for Las Vegas magazine who had been Del Rivo’s roommate.

A 62-year-old man failed to appear in court for multiple felony charges and a warrant was issued. Just after midnight, a deputy observed him driving recklessly. After the driver pulled over near Newark Drive and Kettle Moraine Road, deputies ordered him to exit. He did not respond. They approached and found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The East Central Wisconsin Sheriff’s Investigative Team is reviewing the case.

On May 21, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Green Township Police responded to a report of a possibly suicidal individual violating a protection order at a residence in the 3100 block of Ebenezer Road, near Oak Hills High School. The individual, identified as 41-year-old Chet Smith, had access to firearms and refused to exit the home. The Hamilton County SWAT team was deployed. After several hours, SWAT officers entered the residence and found Smith deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Green Township Police Criminal Investigative Section is conducting an ongoing investigation.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered 20-year-old Degeorge Darby and another man. Both fled on foot. During the pursuit, Darby fired two shots at Deputy Richard Jeffcoat and his K-9 partner, Kiro, striking Kiro in the ear. Deputy Jeffcoat returned fire, hitting Darby multiple times. Darby was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. K-9 Kiro received medical treatment and is expected to recover. The firearm used by Darby was reported stolen earlier in May.

On 05/20/2025, Fort Worth Police responded around 5:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 3400 block of Creekwood Lane. Upon arrival, a male individual ran from officers on foot. During the pursuit, the man shot himself. No officers discharged their weapons. He died at the scene.
