On March 24, 2025, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force attempted to apprehend 23-year-old Willie Joe Larry-Purdiman, who was wanted for failing to appear on weapons charges. Upon locating him in a vehicle near the 7900 block of Baseline Road in Little Rock, Larry-Purdiman exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward a nearby gas station. During the pursuit, he fired multiple shots at officers. Officers returned fire, striking Larry-Purdiman. He was pronounced dead. Law enforcement issued a "be on the lookout" alert for Roach and the vehicle. Around 8 a.m., Anson County deputies located Roach's vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The chase concluded when Roach crashed off Little Creek Road near Old Winfield Road in Wadesboro. Upon reaching the vehicle, deputies discovered Mianna deceased from a gunshot wound and Roach critically injured from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. On March 22, 2025, Reno Police responded to reports of an attempted armed carjacking on Silverada Boulevard. The man, later identified as Marcus Gifford, 28, was wanted in an armed kidnapping and domestic violence case in Roseville, California. After failing to carjack the first vehicle, he allegedly forced another person to drive him to Sparks, Nevada, where he successfully carjacked a third vehicle.
