Upon arrival, officers encountered a 44-year-old white male inside the home. During the interaction, an officer shot and killed the man. On 02/14/2025, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies were conducting speed enforcement near Bayshore Boulevard and Michigan Boulevard in Dunedin, Florida. Deputies attempted to pull over a red Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Michael Gaffney for speeding in the southbound lanes. Gaffney accelerated away while approximately three minutes later, multiple 911 calls reported a motorcycle crash near 1427 Bayshore Boulevard. Investigators determined that Gaffney lost control of his motorcycle while fleeing and collided with a guy wire attached to a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 4:19 a.m., Eufaula Police Department officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Lamar T. Jenkins. Jenkins failed to stop, leading to a pursuit that continued onto Eufaula Avenue. The Barbour County Sheriff's Office took over the pursuit. Jenkins was traveling at an estimated speed of 130 mph when his 2006 Ford Fusion left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and burst into flames. Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the incident.

On 02/13/2025, Independence police officers attempted to stop a vehicle near 8th Street and Sterling Avenue. The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Daniel Jay Bonnet, did not stop. Independence PD escalated a chase after Bonnet until he exited the vehicle. Police opened fire and killed him.

On 02/13/2025, Lincoln Police Department officers responded to a report of a man threatening people with a knife on Whalen Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered 37-year-old Derek Beach, who allegedly moved toward them with a knife. Sgt. Michael Winslow and Officer Kristofer Milner opened fire, striking Beach.

On 02/13/2025, a Blackshear Police Department officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Corey Ray Beale. Beale did not stop. Police escalated a chase that entered Brantley County. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Patrol joined the chase. A Georgia State Trooper performed a PIT maneuver on Beale's car, ending the pursuit along Highway 32 near the intersection of Highways 32 and 301. After the car came to a stop, Beale shot himself while inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On 02/13/2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., EMS responded to a breathing complaint involving a 65-year-old woman at a residence on Grapevine Road in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Upon arrival, EMS personnel were confronted by a man with a machete and a rifle. The woman indicated she was not experiencing a medical issue but feared harm from the man, who had threatened to shoot law enforcement upon their arrival. She was transported to Berkeley Medical Center. Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies and West Virginia State Police established a perimeter and, shortly after midnight, encountered the man armed with a rifle. Police stated he raised that weapon "in a threatening manner." Officers opened fire and killed him.
