On March 21, 2025, a Fort Myers Police officer attempted a traffic stop on a 2013 Kia Forte. The driver did not stop and struck the officer before continuing northbound on Central Avenue. Officers escalated a chase. The driver failed to navigate a curve and crashed into a building at 2055 Central Avenue. She was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The officer who was struck sustained injuries and was reported in stable condition. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

On March 18, 2025, at approximately 7:12 p.m., Pueblo Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire near West Mesa Avenue and Cedar Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered Billy Soto who fired at them, striking one officer. Additional officers and deputies from the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office arrived, and Soto continued shooting while attempting to escape. Officers opened fire, fatally shooting him. Three officers were wounded and transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The 10th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team, led by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, is investigating the shooting.

Upon arrival, they encountered 49-year-old Keith Truesdell, who was armed with a firearm. Truesdell allegedly fired at the officers. Officers opened fire and killed Truesdell. On March 18, 2025, Savannah Police Department officers were involved in a high-speed pursuit of a silver Jeep Compass driven by a man linked to a previous shooting at the Westlake Apartments. Police chased him to Liberty Parkway, where his vehicle collided with a maroon Chevrolet Malibu driven by 60-year-old Darren Lewis, who was attempting to enter Liberty Parkway from Upson Street. The impact struck the driver's side of Lewis's vehicle, resulting in his immediate death at the scene. The Georgia State Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Darren Lewis, a husband, father, and ex-Marine, was remembered by neighbors in the Liberty City community as a kind and quiet individual who brought positivity to those around him. John Jackson, a neighbor, remarked, "He was cool people, he was quiet, he didn’t make no noise, just laugh and talk." Another neighbor, Doreather Woods, shared, "Everything I know about him was nice... He was just a nice person." A memorial with flowers and a cross was established along Liberty Parkway to honor his memory.

On March 18, 2025, around 2:35 a.m., an Allen Police Department officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on southbound US 75. The driver, later identified as Jonathan Jaramillo, refused to stop. Officers escalated a brief pursuit that ended within a minute when Jaramillo lost control and crashed into a wooded area along the service road. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side, pinned against a tree. Jaramillo was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

In the early hours of March 17, 2025, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office responded to a request from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office regarding a man involved in a shooting incident in Marshall County. Jedidiah S. Skinner, 30, of Smithland, Kentucky, was located by a Lyon County deputy at Huck's Travel Center on US-62 in Kuttawa. On 03/17/2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Modesto police officers attempted to arrest 40-year-old Jimmy Lee Rupe, who had multiple felony warrants for lewd acts with a child and firearm-related charges. The incident occurred near the 3200 block of Dale Road, close to the Vintage Faire Mall. During the encounter, an officer-involved shooting occurred. Rupe was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. More than 100 bullets were fired in the store during arrest. The investigation is ongoing.

On March 17, 2025, 28-year-old Robert "Bob" Halmayr of Glen Ellen was driving a silver Toyota Camry northbound on Farmer’s Lane in Santa Rosa when he was struck by a gray Nissan Maxima driven by Aaron Rodriguez Hernandez, 21. Hernandez was being monitored by police who had earlier observed him speeding. Although police stated they did not maintain continuous visual contact and were not in a position to conduct a stop, they saw the Maxima again shortly before the crash. The collision occurred at Montgomery Drive and Farmer’s Lane, pushing both vehicles into a nearby parking lot. Halmayr was pronounced dead at the scene. Hernandez was arrested and faces charges including vehicular manslaughter, DUI drugs with injury, and violation of probation.

Upon arrival, officers observed 48-year-old Shawn Ware lying on the floor with a firearm in his waistband. Officers retreated and issued verbal commands for Ware to drop the weapon. Moments later, Ware exited the apartment using another man as a human shield. The hostage broke free, after which Ware pointed his weapon at officers. Police opened fire and killed him. On March 16, 2025, at approximately 10:06 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance involving a weapon at a residence in the Settlers Bay area of Wasilla. The man, identified as 34-year-old Brett George, allegedly threatened two adult family members with a weapon. As law enforcement officers from the Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, and Wasilla Police Department responded, the family members were able to escape the residence and leave the area. George then donned body armor and an assault rifle, and left the residence in a vehicle. A Wasilla police officer initiated a traffic stop on George's vehicle a short distance away, but George fled, leading to a pursuit. At the intersection of Knik Goose Bay Road and Settlers Bay Drive, George exited his vehicle and fired the assault rifle at the marked Wasilla police car. The Wasilla police officer returned fire, striking George, who was declared deceased at the scene. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation has assumed case responsibility, and the incident will be independently reviewed by the Alaska Office of Special Prosecutions.

On March 16, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Hawaii Police Department officers responded to a reported home invasion in the 18-1300 block of Ihope Road in Mountain View. Christopher Lucrisia had allegedly entered the residence, threatened the occupants, and stolen keys to a vehicle parked outside.Lucrisia, who was armed with a rifle and a pistol, hid in the stolen vehicle on the property. As detectives and members of the Specialized Response Team (SRT) arrived, Lucrisia began firing at them. One officer returned fire. After a period of attempted negotiations and no response from Lucrisia, officers deployed a drone and observed him unresponsive in the vehicle's rear seat. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. This incident concluded a nearly three-day manhunt that began after Lucrisia allegedly shot and injured a police officer on March 14, 2025.
