Troopers initiated a traffic stop by activating emergency lights and sirens. The driver did not stop. Troopers escalated the situation into a high-speed pursuit. The vehicle turned onto Magnolia Street, continuing southbound at high speeds. As the vehicle approached a set of railroad tracks, it accelerated, became airborne, and crashed upon landing. The pursuing troopers found the driver inside the vehicle with head and facial injuries. Three male passengers, including 17-year-old Quantavius Vicks, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Troopers found loaded firearms inside the vehicle. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.

On the afternoon of October 26, 2024, James Marshall was seen walking through Carmel-by-the-Sea carrying what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle and a crowbar. Police responded to a call reporting a "man with a gun," and officers quickly arrived on scene. Officers Rene Guevara and Gerald Maldonado confronted Marshall. Elroy Clarke was engaged in a dispute with a man who had been staying at his home for three months. There have been problems and he wanted the man to leave. An altercation took place and Charlotte County deputies arrived. On October 22, 2024, just before 5:00 p.m., Lawrenceville Police Department investigators located Terrell Laron Hoggro, 59, at the Quality Inn on Northeast Expressway in Chamblee, Georgia. Hoggro was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses related to recent armed robberies in Lawrenceville. As officers conducted surveillance and coordinated resources for his arrest, Hoggro exited a motel room. Officers immediately attempted to arrest him. Hoggro drew a handgun from his waistband and raised it toward the officers. Lawrenceville Police Department officers fired at Hoggro, striking him. Hoggro was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation, and the case file will be submitted to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office for review.

SWAT and Abilene police responded to a call about a suicidal woman at a hotel. Police found her walking outside with her mother. The mother alerted to police that she had a gun. Police charged her with guns drawn, and she pointed the gun at herself and her mother and finally ran away. When police charged after her, she died from suicide under police duress.

On 10/21/2024, deputies from the Steuben County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check on Angel Road in Cameron, New York, following family concerns about Allen V. Hoad II. Upon arrival, Hoad reportedly shot at deputies, damaging two patrol vehicles. This initiated a 15-hour standoff involving crisis negotiators and the SWAT team. Despite prolonged negotiations, Hoad made threats of mass violence and attempted to flee in a vehicle containing multiple firearms. While evading a police barricade, he collided with a patrol car and drove towards deputies, prompting officers to fire. Hoad was apprehended after resisting arrest and received immediate medical attention but was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Multiple agencies assisted in the incident.
