When an event was hosted at the Bravo hookah lounge for Kayas Kitchen on 10/27/2024, Day’shaun Colen was seen in a crowd on security video holding a door open to help employees enter the premises. A bystander is seen, grabbing him by the neck and stomach, and one of two armed security guards working for Apex Tactical Security started an altercation for unknown reasons. One of the officers pulled out a weapon and shot and killed Colen. The officer was apparently upset because during the altercation that security themselves started, one of the officers hit their head against the glass door. After that, when Colen was already detained, the guard pulled out a gun and deliberately shot and killed him. After gravely injuring Colen, the guard apparently did not help him, but instead helped another bystander look for a lost ring. The friends of Colen put him in the vehicle and drove him to the hospital themselves as security was of no help.Colon had been unarmed and was attacked by security leading to his death. He was the father of three little girls and was well loved by a very large family.

On October 27, 2024, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers observed a white Mercedes-Benz sedan traveling at 75 mph in a 40 mph zone on Dawson Road in Albany, Georgia. Troopers initiated a traffic stop by activating emergency lights and sirens. The driver did not stop. Troopers escalated the situation into a high-speed pursuit. The vehicle turned onto Magnolia Street, continuing southbound at high speeds. As the vehicle approached a set of railroad tracks, it accelerated, became airborne, and crashed upon landing. The pursuing troopers found the driver inside the vehicle with head and facial injuries. Three male passengers, including 17-year-old Quantavius Vicks, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Troopers found loaded firearms inside the vehicle. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.

On the afternoon of October 26, 2024, James Marshall was seen walking through Carmel-by-the-Sea carrying what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle and a crowbar. Police responded to a call reporting a "man with a gun," and officers quickly arrived on scene. Officers Rene Guevara and Gerald Maldonado confronted Marshall. The situation escalated quickly, and both officers fired their weapons, fatally striking Marshall. After the incident, it was determined that the AR-15 Marshall was carrying was a BB gun, not a real firearm. There were no reports of Marshall threatening anyone during the incident.

On October 26, 2024, Fresno Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire in the area of S 8th Street and E Verrue Avenue. Approximately an hour after officers arrived, Andy Morales, identified as the presumed shooter, returned to the location. Police reported that Morales fired a shot at an officer, injuring them. In response, the officer shot Morales, who later died from his injuries. The officer who was injured was transported to the hospital, but is expected to recover.
