Waxahachie police were sent to check on a man with a sword or dagger. Police arrived on W. Jefferson St. and 527-year-old Larry Reeves holding a dagger in the street with a female nearby. Police shot and killed him.

Casper PD pursued Joshua Lee Friesen for multiple warrants of unknown type. Police stated that he got out of the car and fired into the air and officers chased him some more. He then pulled over and died from suicide under police duress.

On October 6, 2024, at approximately 7:40 p.m., a MARTA Police Department officer observed a man pointing a gun at another individual at the College Park MARTA Station in College Park, Georgia. The officer followed the man and issued commands. The man turned toward the officer and reached in the direction of the gun. The officer fired his weapon, striking the man. A firearm was found near the man. Emergency medical services transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. As of December 2, 2024, the identity of the man involved in the October 6, 2024, officer-involved shooting at the College Park MARTA Station has not been publicly disclosed. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for review.
