On 02/17/2025, at approximately 3:00 AM, correctional officers at the Oneida County Correctional Facility discovered Earl Scofield, 51, unresponsive in his cell. Scofield was transported to Wynn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating. An autopsy will be conducted by the county medical examiner's office.
