COn 06/20/2024, Christopher Pringle, 33, was reported missing while visiting Port St. Lucie, Florida, from Texas. St. Lucie Police located Pringle driving on a highway and deployed stop sticks to disable his vehicle. Pringle evaded the initial attempt to stop him, prompting an escalated response involving dozens of officers, a helicopter, and drones. Using cell phone tracking technology, police pinpointed his location at a shopping mall parking lot.

A SWAT team was deployed to the scene, locking down the mall and surrounding Pringle’s van. Officers brought a Lenco BearCat armored vehicle and established a perimeter while attempting a surround-and-callout strategy. Police shattered the windows of Pringle’s van using breaching tools and threw flashbang grenades inside to disorient him. Chemical agents were also deployed into the vehicle, with witnesses reporting hearing Pringle coughing during the prolonged standoff.

On June 19, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers from the Pueblo Police Department responded to a report of a man with a weapon in the parking lot of a Popeyes restaurant near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Outlook Boulevard in Pueblo, Colorado. On June 18, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Bulloch County Dispatch received multiple reports of a black Chevrolet Camaro involved in a hit-and-run, reckless driving, and discharging a firearm. Deputies swiftly located the vehicle at the Gas Pro Travel Center at Highway 301 and A.J. Riggs Road. Before their arrival, the driver, identified as 25-year-old Robert Allen Bostic of Warner Robins, Georgia, had reportedly pointed a gun at a patron at a nearby pump. The patron retreated to his vehicle, and as he fled, Bostic fired, striking the back of the patron’s vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies positioned their vehicles at the front and rear of the Camaro. Bostic exited the driver's side. Police allege that Bostic drew a handgun and fired at one of the deputies. Both deputies opened fire, hitting Bostic multiple times. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. Upon completion, the findings will be submitted to the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review. On 06/18/2024, a LaSalle County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near Route 6 and 29th Road for a traffic violation. On 06/15/2024, the Iowa State Patrol attempted to stop 24-year-old Donovan Burrell on Old Lakeport Road in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. Burrell did not stop and continued driving. Troopers escalated a high-speed pursuit, during which the vehicle reached high speeds.

The pursuit ended when Burrell’s vehicle collided with an obstacle near the intersection of Old Lakeport Road and Wilde Street. Burrell was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Armed with a Glock 43 semi-automatic handgun, Nash fired 36 rounds indiscriminately, injuring nine individuals, including two children. He then fled the scene in his vehicle. Authorities tracked Nash to his residence in Shelby Township, approximately half a mile from the splash pad. After a five-hour standoff, during which police attempts to communicate with Nash were unsuccessful, officers entered the home and found him deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

On 06/15/2024, Tampa Police Department officers and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a residence on Cactus Wren Place in Tampa, Florida. Upon arrival, officers encountered 19-year-old Christos Alexander Themelis Jr. outside with his mother. According to police, Alexander shot and killed his mother under the pressure of their presence.

Following the shooting, Alexander locked himself inside the home, leading to a prolonged standoff. SWAT units were deployed to the scene, utilizing a Lenco BearCat armored vehicle, ballistic shields, and other tactical equipment to secure the perimeter. Negotiators attempted to communicate with Alexander, but he reportedly remained unresponsive.

During the standoff, SWAT deployed a police robot to breach the home. The robot was equipped with cameras to assess the interior and ensure officer safety. Upon entering, the robot found Alexander deceased inside the home. Police stated that Alexander is believed to have died during a shootout with SWAT officers. Yerkoy Shuler was visiting Winston-Salem because his daughter was graduating. Police traffic-stopped him and for unknown reasons asked him to step out of the car. He complied but police claim he tried to reach for something in his car. Police then subdued and handcuffed him and placed him in the back of a police car. On June 14, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Minnesota State Patrol troopers initiated a pursuit of a motorcycle operated by 24-year-old Dante Anthony Bjorklund on Minneapolis highways. The pursuit was terminated when Bjorklund exited the highway and entered residential streets in south Minneapolis. A State Patrol helicopter maintained visual contact with the motorcycle. Subsequently, Bjorklund collided with a stationary State Patrol squad car, which had its emergency lights activated, at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and 51st Street East. Bjorklund sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. He died from his injuries approximately a week later.

On June 14, 2024, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Milton Police officers responded to a reported shoplifting incident at a Kohl's store on Highway 9. Officers identified a red Dodge Journey, allegedly involved in the theft, and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled to a nearby Walmart parking lot on Windward Parkway, where it stopped, and three people exited. Officers apprehended the driver, while a man escaped on foot. The third passenger, 31-year-old Shantidra Harris of Atlanta, stole a white Toyota Corolla in the parking lot. As Harris accelerated the stolen vehicle, she struck an officer positioned in front of it. The officer discharged his firearm, hitting Harris. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The officer sustained injuries, was treated, and released. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. Upon completion, the findings will be submitted to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for review. The identities of the involved officer and the other participants have not been disclosed.
