Nashville PD officer Patrick McGinnis pulled out of the police precinct and was hit by a vehicle driven by Patrick McGee. Both McGee and his passenger Joel Skelton were killed. Police allege that the vehicle may have been speeding but it is confirmed that the officer pulled out of a precinct and into the path of the vehicle causing the collision and that mistakes may have been made by both drivers if indeed McGee was speeding.

Scott County deputies hunted a car at high speed until it crashed into an Indiana State Police vehicle. A secondary crash occurred as a result and a truck ran into a UPS truck in a domino effect resulting from the police chase crash. The UPS truck was hit in standstill traffic and erupted into a fireball. Several vehicles burst into flames. Off-duty DeKalb PD officer James Correlejo, 25, was intoxicated and caused a crash which killed the other motorist. Officer Correlejo was arrested for reckless homicide and aggravated driving while drunk. While Graciela Reza-Contreras died, 3 other people from the vehicle that was hit were also sent to the hospital with injuries. Officer Correlejo remains in jail now, 3 days after the crash. Quiana Brown, 38, was crossing the street in Baton Rouge when a grey sedan hit her and left the scene. It is unknown whether she was injured and still alive or at which point she died because a responding Baton Rouge police vehicle rushed to the scene and ran over her body lying in the street next.
