On 11/18/2025 officers responded to a reported assault with a deadly weapon early in the morning. They returned to the area and located Albert Benson allegedly armed with a machete. Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation and ordered him to drop the weapon. He allegedly charged at the officers, who then discharged their firearms and struck him. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

On November 8, 2025, officers from the McAlester Police Department responded to a welfare check in the 500 block of West Park Avenue in McAlester, Oklahoma. After negotiations stalled, law enforcement advanced and found Berry with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital in stable but critical condition. Subsequent reports confirm Berry died from his injuries days later.
Public records reveal a history of domestic violence allegations, including multiple protective orders filed by Jonni Salazar against Berry in the weeks prior to the shooting. Authorities have not disclosed additional motive details.

On June 4 at approximately 5:56 a.m., Oklahoma City officers served a court-approved search warrant at a home on Evanbrook Terrace tied to alleged sex crimes. Jose Martinez fled out a back door armed with a pistol. Sergeant Justin Kuehn pursued him on foot into a wooded area near Southeast 59th and Bryant. Martinez dropped the pistol over a fence, then leaned down to retrieve it. Kuehn ordered him to stop; Martinez did not comply and reached for the firearm. Kuehn fired once, striking Martinez. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of the shooting, officers had been actively seeking Martinez for over a week in connection with multiple rape and forcible oral sodomy charges. At approximately 1:30 p.m., Logan County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance near Seward Road and Midwest Boulevard. The call involved a separated married couple. Deputies made contact with a woman at the home who briefly spoke with them before closing the door. A man, described as being in his early 40s, emerged from the back of the residence and opened fire on deputies, striking two. A third deputy returned fire and killed the man. The driver exited holding a gun, walked away, and shot himself. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On 03/04/2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Clinton Police Department officers responded to a shots fired call at an apartment complex near South 28th Street and West Hayes Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 32-year-old Jesse Mendoza with a gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The investigation identified 28-year-old Joseph Tyler Layton as the shooter, leading to the issuance of a felony arrest warrant. Around 6:00 p.m. the same day, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers located Layton in Clinton and initiated a traffic stop. During the encounter, Layton was shot by troopers. He was reported the armed.
