On 02/20/2025, the Houston County Sheriff's Office escalated a high-speed chase involving a stolen Range Rover taken from LaGuardia Airport in New York. Police continued the chase on southbound Interstate 75 into Crisp County, and near mile marker 103, the Range Rover crashed into a tractor-trailer, killing the passenger.
